1. List your name prominently

7. Bold some text

Use bold text to highlight important information. Certified professional resume writers use this trick a lot. When you are writing several bullet points to describe a past job, highlight the first few words of each bullet point using bold letters. This helps draw the reader’s eyes to the next bullet point and compels them to read on.

8. Highlight leadership
